How to Establish a Chemical Supply Plan in an Industrial Facility?
Establishment of chemical purchasing and acceptance processes in industrial facilities with batch-based COA, current SDS/GBF, density verification and ADR shipping discipline.
The chemical supply plan in an industrial facility is not just about unit price and order tonnage. The product's active ingredient concentration, purity class (technical, non-ferrous, membrane/food compatible, etc.), point of use, packaging format and acceptance criteria should be clearly defined in the purchasing specification.
While the Batch Analysis Certificate (COA) shows the actual laboratory analysis results of the delivered production batch (lot/batch); The Safety Data Sheet (SDS/GBF) specifies storage compatibility, personal protective equipment and emergency response guidelines. Elif Çevre Kimya implements the verified COA and current SDS/GBF sharing matching the delivered batches as the basic operation standard.
The catalog includes 25 kg bag, 30–60 kg drum, 1,000 kg IBC tank and bulk ADR tanker options. The facility should make its packaging selection according to consumption rate, forklift/pallet truck maneuvering area, secondary sealing pan (spill pool) and filling pump infrastructure. Additionally, for liquid chemicals, conversion between kg and liter should not be made without the specific gravity (density, g/cm³) verified on TDS/COA.
Safety stock level; The production tempo should be determined by taking into account the shelf life of the chemical (e.g. the sensitivity of sodium hypochlorite to temperature and sunlight) and lead time. Close logistics access from our Adana Seyhan central warehouse to Çukurova and neighboring OSB lines helps reduce the high stock keeping burden of factories.
In the shipment of hazardous chemicals, UN number, ADR transport class, packaging label, separate storage of chemicals that affect each other (e.g. acids and hypochlorite or sulphites) and correct filling nozzle locking in bulk tanker discharge are vital. Delivery time and shipping schedule should be confirmed based on product, packaging and destination before ordering.

ADR and Field Acceptance Coordination

Field Control and Monitoring List
Chemical dosage and system capacity decisions should be determined by analysis and facility conditions; There is no guarantee of fixed dosage or performance.
- Matching the lot number on the delivery note/invoice with the COA document for each delivery
- For liquid chemicals, kg ↔ liter calculations should only be made with verified density (g/cm³) on TDS/COA
- Storage of acid, alkali and oxidizing chemicals in secondary sealing pools isolated from each other
- Keeping current Turkish SDS/GBF forms accessible at chemical storage and dosage points
- Implementation of valve, coupling and label verification procedure before IBC, drum or ADR tanker unloading
